    From the center of Grindavik, head northeast on Hafnargata street towards the main road, Route 43. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Route 43. Cross the road carefully, and take the bus from the nearest bus stop on Route 43 towards Reykjavík. The bus will take you directly to the capital city.

    Once you arrive at the Reykjavík bus terminal (BSÍ), you can catch the local bus number 1 towards Laugardalur. Get off at the stop 'Þjóðminjasafn' (National Museum) and transfer to bus number 2 towards Seltjarnarnes. After a few stops, get off at 'Grandagarður'. The Reykjavík Maritime Museum will be just a short walk away.
