Getting There

  • Bus

    From the center of Hafnarfjordur, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Hafnarfjordur Stræti. Take the bus number 1 towards BSI Bus Terminal. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the stop called 'Keilir'. From the bus stop, you will see a clear path leading up to Keilir. Follow the path which will take you directly to the base of the mountain.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk and enjoy the scenery, start from the Hafnarfjordur town center and head southwest towards Norðurbraut. Continue walking down Norðurbraut until you reach the intersection with Reykjanesbraut (Route 41). Cross the street carefully and follow the pedestrian path along the road. After around 2 kilometers, you will see Keilir ahead on your right. Follow the signs or local paths leading towards Keilir.

  • Taxi

    If you would like a quicker and more convenient option, you can take a taxi from any location in Hafnarfjordur. Simply ask the driver to take you to 'Keilir'. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to confirm the fare before you start the journey.
