From Hengifoss Waterfall, begin your hike back down the path you took to reach the waterfall. Once you arrive at the base, continue walking along the marked hiking trail. The trail will lead you through scenic landscapes towards Magnúsarfoss. Look for signs that indicate the direction to Magnúsarfoss. It is approximately a 1.5 km walk from Hengifoss to Magnúsarfoss, and the terrain may be slightly rugged, so wear appropriate hiking shoes. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding nature.

If you have driven to Hengifoss, you can drive to Magnúsarfoss by returning to Route 1 (the Ring Road) from the Hengifoss parking lot. Turn left onto Route 1 and head towards the town of Höfn. Continue for about 30 km until you see signs for Skaftafell National Park. The road will lead you to Skaftafellsstofa, where you can find parking. From the parking area, follow the signs to the Magnúsarfoss trailhead, which is about a 2 km hike from there.
