From the center of Ísafjörður, start at the main square (Austurstræti). Head northwest on Austurstræti toward Strandgata. Continue on Strandgata until you reach the intersection with Aðalstræti. Turn left onto Aðalstræti. Walk straight until you reach the bus terminal (Strætó bus station) located on the left. From here, you can take a bus heading towards Holt í Önundarfirði, which operates on a limited schedule. Make sure to check the current timetable and confirm the bus to Holt.
Bus
Once you arrive at the bus terminal, purchase a ticket for the bus to Holt í Önundarfirði. The journey typically takes around 30-40 minutes, depending on the specific route and traffic conditions. As you travel, enjoy the scenic views of the fjords and surrounding mountains. The bus will drop you off at the closest point to Önundarfjörður Pier. After disembarking, walk towards the water; the pier is located a short distance away.
