Getting there

Bus

From Kopavogur, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is likely to be at Smáralind. Take the bus number 1 or 3 heading towards Reykjavík. After approximately 20-30 minutes, get off at the stop named 'Hlemmur'. From there, walk towards the direction of the Harpa Concert Hall, then continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pósthússtræti. Turn left onto Pósthússtræti, and you will find Austurvöllur at Pósthússtræti 101. The entire journey should take roughly 40-50 minutes.

Walking

If you are in central Kopavogur, head towards the main road, Gúmmístræti, and follow it as it leads towards Sæbraut. From Sæbraut, you can follow the path leading towards Reykjavík along the coastline. Continue walking for about 1.5-2 hours until you reach the downtown area of Reykjavík. Once you are in Miðborg, look for Pósthússtræti, and walk towards number 101. This is a scenic route with beautiful views of the sea and mountains.

You can also opt for a taxi from any location in Kopavogur to Austurvöllur. Simply call a local taxi service or use a ride-hailing app if available. The driver will take you directly to Pósthússtræti 101 in Reykjavík. The taxi ride will take approximately 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic.
