From the center of Reykjavík, head west on Hringbraut/Route 49. Continue along this road until you reach the Sæbraut intersection. Turn right onto Sæbraut and follow the road until you reach the ferry terminal at Skarfabakki. Here, you can park your car. The ferry to Viðey Island departs from this terminal. The ferry ride takes approximately 10 minutes and costs around 1,500 ISK for a round trip. Upon arrival at Viðey Island, you can walk to the Imagine Peace Tower, which is located a short distance from the ferry dock.

To reach the Imagine Peace Tower via public transportation, you can take bus number 1 from the center of Reykjavík. Board the bus at the main bus terminal (BSI) and disembark at the Sæbraut stop. From there, walk to the Skarfabakki ferry terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk. Catch the ferry to Viðey Island. The ferry ride costs approximately 1,500 ISK for a round trip. Once you arrive on Viðey, the tower is within walking distance from the ferry dock.
