If you are driving from the town of Stykkishólmur, head south on Road 54. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Road 574. Turn left onto Road 574, which will take you directly to Snæfellsjökull National Park. The park entrance is clearly marked and is located at Sandhraun 5, 360 Hellissandur. The total driving time from Stykkishólmur is about 40 minutes.

To reach Snæfellsjökull National Park using public transportation, take the bus from Reykjavík to Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Check the schedules for the 'Strætó' bus service, specifically routes heading towards Snæfellsnes. You will need to get off at Hellissandur. From Hellissandur, the park is about a 5-minute taxi ride or a 30-minute walk to the entrance at Sandhraun 5. Be sure to confirm the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
