Walking
From the center of Olafsvik, head southeast on Sæbólsvegur towards the main road, Route 54. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 54. Turn left onto Route 54, and follow it for approximately 7 km. After you see the sign for Hellissandur, keep an eye out for Sjóminjasafnið Hellissandi on your left, located at 360 Hellissandur. The museum is near the Fisherman's Garden.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Olafsvik to Hellissandur. Start by heading southeast on Sæbólsvegur until you reach Route 54. Turn left and cycle along Route 54 for about 7 km.
