From any location in the Panhandle area, begin your journey by getting onto US-95 S from your current location. Follow the signs for US-95 S towards Boise. Continue on US-95 S for approximately 300 miles until you reach the junction with I-84 E. Merge onto I-84 E and continue for about 60 miles. Take exit 257 toward ID-20 E. Follow ID-20 E for about 120 miles. You will then take the exit for Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve. The visitor center is located approximately 5 miles from the exit.

Public transportation options are limited in rural Idaho. However, you can take a Greyhound bus from various locations in the Panhandle region to Idaho Falls.
