Getting There

• Car

  From your location in Snake River Canyon, head towards Highway 95. If you are near the river, look for signs directing you to the highway. Once on Highway 95, drive south for approximately 10 miles. You will pass through the town of Grangeville; continue straight. Look for signs indicating 'White Bird Battlefield.' Turn left onto White Bird Hill Road (you will see signs for the battlefield). Follow this road for about 2 miles until you reach the battlefield parking area. There is no fee for parking.

  While public transportation options are limited in this rural area, you can take a bus from nearby towns to Grangeville. From Grangeville, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach the White Bird Battlefield, which is about 10 miles south of Grangeville.
