Public Transit
From Arlington Heights, head to the Arlington Heights Metra station located at 45 W Northwest Hwy. Take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. Ride the train for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Ogilvie Transportation Center in downtown Chicago. Once at Ogilvie, follow the signs to transfer to the 'Pink Line' or 'Green Line' CTA trains. Board a train heading towards 54th/Cermak (Pink Line) or Cottage Grove (Green Line) and disembark at the 18th station at 35th/Bronzeville-IIT station. From there, transfer to bus #4 (Cottage Grove) at the bus stop outside the station. Ride the bus for about 15 minutes until you reach the stop at 57th/Hyde Park. Finally, walk approximately 5 minutes south to reach the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry located at 5700 S Dusable Lk Shr Dr.

If you have access to a bike, you can bike from Arlington Heights to the museum. Start by heading south on Dunton Ave. Continue until you reach S Arlington Heights Rd and take a left. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with 53. Take a right onto 53 and follow it until you reach Route 90. Here, you can access bike lanes leading towards Chicago. Continue biking towards the Museum of Science and Industry, which will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on your speed. Make sure to follow bike paths and lanes for safety.
