  • Public Transport - Train

    From Arlington Heights station, take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. Stay on the train for about 40 minutes. Disembark at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Once you exit the train, follow the signs for the 'Madison St' exit. After exiting, walk east on Madison St towards the Riverwalk. Continue walking until you reach Wacker Dr, then turn left. Follow Wacker Dr until you reach S Michigan Ave, then turn right. The Art Institute of Chicago will be on your left at 111 S Michigan Ave.

    Start at the Arlington Heights Metra Station and take the Pace Bus Route 696 going towards Chicago. It will take you about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Get off at the intersection of S Dearborn St and W Adams St. From there, walk north on S Dearborn St for about 4 blocks until you reach W Monroe St. Turn right on W Monroe St and continue until you reach S Michigan Ave. Turn left on S Michigan Ave, and The Art Institute of Chicago will be on your right at 111 S Michigan Ave.
