  • Public Bus

    From Bolingbrook, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 55 (Newtown) heading towards the south. Take the bus to the 'Romeoville Metra Station'. From there, board the Metra train on the Heritage Corridor line towards Chicago Union Station. Once you arrive at Union Station, transfer to the CTA Pink Line towards 18th. Get off at the Damen station and transfer to the 72 bus heading towards California. Get off at the North Avenue stop and walk northeast to Lincoln Park, where South Pond is located.

Follow the trail until you reach Naperville. From Naperville, follow the bike routes along the river to connect to the Illinois Prairie Path leading towards Chicago.
