    If you are starting from Joliet Union Station, exit the station and head east on Jefferson Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Chicago Street. Turn left onto Chicago Street and walk north for another 0.3 miles. You will then reach the intersection with West 8th Street. Turn right onto West 8th Street and walk about 0.4 miles. The Gaylord Building Historic Site will be on your left at 200 W 8th St.

    From Joliet Union Station, board the Pace Bus Route 850 (towards Lockport). Stay on the bus for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the '8th St & State St' stop.
