Car
From Matthiessen State Park, exit the park and head east on IL-178. Continue on IL-178 until you reach the intersection with I-80. Merge onto I-80 W and follow the signs for Chicago. Take exit 93 for IL-23 North toward Ottawa. Continue on IL-23 N for approximately 10 miles. As you approach Ottawa, turn left onto Canal St. The Ottawa Historical and Scouting Heritage Museum will be on your right at 1100 Canal St. Parking is available nearby, and there may be a small fee depending on the lot you choose.
