From the main entrance of Starved Rock State Park, head north on IL-178 N. Continue for about 10 miles until you reach the intersection of IL-178 and IL-71. Turn left onto IL-71 W and drive for approximately 3 miles. Then turn right onto N 27th Rd. KAYAK STARVED ROCK CAMPGROUND will be on your left at 1170 N 27th Rd, Ottawa, IL 61350.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you can take the Starved Rock Shuttle Service from the park to the nearest town. First, board the shuttle at the visitor center in Starved Rock State Park. After about a 30-minute ride, you will arrive at Ottawa, IL. From the shuttle stop, you can either walk or use a rideshare service. The campground is about 3 miles away, so it might be more convenient to order a rideshare for the remaining distance. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance to plan your visit effectively.

For those who enjoy biking, you can cycle from the park to KAYAK STARVED ROCK CAMPGROUND. Start from the main parking area of Starved Rock State Park and take the bike-friendly routes leading out of the park. Follow IL-178 N, then turn left onto IL-71 W. Continue for about 3 miles and make a right onto N 27th Rd. The campground will be on your left. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have a good map or GPS for navigation.
