From Palatine Train Station, board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago, exit the station and walk towards the nearby Washington/Wells subway station.

From Washington/Wells station, take the Pink Line train towards 18th. After one stop, alight at the Damen stop. Transfer to the Blue Line towards O'Hare and ride for four stops until you reach the Washington station. Exit the station and walk east on Washington Street for about 5 minutes until you reach 50 W Washington St, where Christkindlmarket Chicago is located.

From Palatine, you can take Pace Bus Route 696 towards the Mount Prospect Metra Station. After about 30 minutes, transfer to the Metra train. Follow the same directions as the Train guidance. Alternatively, from the Mount Prospect Metra Station, you can take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago and then follow the train directions provided.
