If you are traveling by car, start on Great River Road (IL-100) and head south. Continue on IL-100 until you reach the intersection with IL-3 South. Turn left onto IL-3 South and follow it for approximately 12 miles. After crossing the Clark Bridge, continue straight to merge onto I-270 West. Take Exit 1B for I-70 East toward Indianapolis. Follow I-70 for about 8 miles, then take Exit 17 for MO-94 toward Portage Des Sioux. Continue on MO-94 for about 7 miles until you reach Portage Des Sioux. Look for signs directing you to the Portage Des Sioux Nature Area, which will be on your left.
