Once at Woodfield Mall, transfer to the Pace Bus Route 550 towards Chicago. This bus will take you directly into the city. After approximately 50 minutes, disembark at the stop near the Art Institute of Chicago located at 111 S Michigan Ave. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the museum.

    From Schaumburg, walk to the nearest Metra train station, which is the Schaumburg station. Catch the Metra Milwaukee District West Line train towards Chicago Union Station. The train ride will take around 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit the station and walk to the nearby 'Union Station' bus terminal. Here, you can catch the #151 or #3 CTA bus towards Michigan Ave. Get off at the stop at Michigan Ave & Adams St, and from there, it’s just a 5-minute walk south to reach the Art Institute of Chicago at 111 S Michigan Ave.
