Getting There

The trek is moderately challenging, taking 4-5 hours one way. No entry fee for the lake. This route is best from May to September.

  • Gondola & Hiking

    Take the Gulmarg Gondola to Phase II (Apharwat Peak). Gondola tickets cost ₹810 for Phase I and ₹1010 for Phase II per person. From the Gondola station, it's a 1.5 km uphill hike to the lake. Pony rides are available from the Gondola station if you prefer not to hike. This option is suitable for most of the year, but check Gondola operating status beforehand.
