Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main market area in Leh, head towards the direction of the Leh Palace. Walk along the Fort Road (also known as Upper Tukcha Road) until you reach the intersection with Chanspa Road. Continue straight on Fort Road, following the signs toward the Gomang Stupa. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see a sign indicating the direction to Gomang Stupa. Follow the path uphill, and after a short walk, you will arrive at the stupa.

    If you are near the Shanti Stupa, you can start your journey from there. From Shanti Stupa, head back down the hill towards the main road and turn right onto Fort Road. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Chanspa Road. Keep straight on Fort Road, and shortly after, you will see signs directing you to Gomang Stupa. Follow these signs uphill, and you will reach your destination.

    Another option is to start from the Leh Market. Exit the market and head towards the main road (Leh-Manali Highway). Take a left onto Fort Road and walk for about 1.8 kilometers.
