Start your journey from Mcleodganj by heading south on the main road towards Dharamshala. Follow the signs for NH154 and continue on this road for approximately 7 km until you reach the junction with NH5. Turn left onto NH5. Continue on NH5 for about 170 km, passing through towns like Wangtoo and Kinnaur. Keep an eye out for scenic views and roadside eateries. After about 4 hours, you will arrive at the Kalpa - Nako Road junction. The Kalpa - Nako Road will be well-marked. Follow this road for approximately 15 km to reach Kalpa.
Bus

From Mcleodganj, you can take a bus to Reckong Peo, which is the nearest major town to Kalpa. Buses leave from the Mcleodganj bus stand. The journey takes around 10-12 hours and costs between INR 500 to INR 800, depending on the bus service you choose. Once you reach Reckong Peo, you can take a local taxi or a shared jeep to Kalpa, which is just about 10 km away. The taxi fare is approximately INR 300.
