Car
If you are driving, head towards Dimapur, the nearest major city. From Dimapur, take the NH29 towards Kohima. After approximately 60 kilometers, look for the signs indicating Rangapahar. The Nagaland Zoological Park is located just outside of Rangapahar, about 3 kilometers from the main highway, and is well-marked. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation (Bus)
To reach Nagaland Zoological Park using public transport, take a bus from Dimapur to Kohima. Buses leave regularly from the Dimapur bus station. Upon reaching Kohima, you can take a taxi or a shared auto-rickshaw to Rangapahar, which is about 15 kilometers away. Make sure to inform the driver that you want to go to the Nagaland Zoological Park. The fare for the taxi can range from INR 300 to INR 500 depending on negotiation.

If you prefer convenience, hire a taxi from Dimapur or Kohima. From Dimapur, the taxi fare will be approximately INR 800-1000. From Kohima, expect to pay around INR 500-700. Ensure that you confirm the fare before starting your journey. Taxis can drop you directly at the entrance of Nagaland Zoological Park.

Once in Rangapahar, you can hire an auto-rickshaw to get to the zoo. Auto-rickshaws are available near the bus stop or main market area. The fare should be around INR 50-100 for a short trip to the zoo, and it's advisable to agree on a price before boarding.
