Walking
If you are starting from the Main Bus Stand in Ranchi, exit the bus station and head east on Main Road. Walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Circular Road. Turn left onto Circular Road and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer. After passing the Ranchi University on your right, keep walking straight until you reach Upper Bazar. Ranchi Lake will be located on your left side, just past the Bada Talab.
Auto-rickshaw
From any location in Ranchi, you can take an auto-rickshaw to Ranchi Lake. Just tell the driver 'Ranchi Lake' or 'Upper Bazar.' The fare is usually around 50-100 INR depending on your starting location. The auto-rickshaw will take you directly to Upper Bazar, and you will see Ranchi Lake as you approach the area.
Public Bus
You can also take a public bus to reach Ranchi Lake. Board a bus heading towards Upper Bazar or the Ranchi Lake route. The bus fare is very economical, usually around 10-20 INR. Once you get off at Upper Bazar, walk a short distance towards the lake, which will be visible from the bus stop.
