The journey will take about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you reach the Rukka bus stop, you may need to walk about 1 km towards the dam. Follow the main road, and you will see signboards directing you to Rukka Dam.

Hail an auto-rickshaw from your location in Ranchi. Inform the driver that you want to go to Rukka Dam. The fare will generally be around ₹150-₹250, depending on your starting point. The ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. The driver will take you directly to Rukka Dam, or drop you off at the nearest point to the dam.

Cycle Rickshaw
For a more local experience, you can opt for a cycle rickshaw. Find a rickshaw stand in your area and ask for a ride to Rukka Dam. The fare will be around ₹100-₹200, and it will take about 1 hour. Keep in mind that cycle rickshaws are slower and may not go all the way to the dam, in which case you may need to walk the last part.

If you are feeling adventurous and are not too far from Rukka Dam, you can walk there. Make sure to have a map or GPS-enabled device. Start by heading towards the main road leading out of Ranchi towards Rukka. The distance from the city center to Rukka Dam is about 15 km, so be prepared for a long walk which can take 3-4 hours.
