Walking
From Police Bazar, head east on Khyndailad Road towards the main market area. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at Iewduh (the local market). Cross the road to continue on the same street, now called Bara Bazar. Follow this road until you reach the junction with Mawprem Road. Turn left onto Mawprem Road and walk straight until you reach the intersection with the Shillong-Mawkynrew Road (NH6). Take a right onto NH6 and continue walking for about 3 km until you reach the Pynthorumkhrah area. Here, you can ask locals for directions to Rangphlang, as it is a familiar landmark. Once you are in Pynthorumkhrah, follow the signs towards Laitlum.
Public Transport (Auto Rickshaw)
From Police Bazar, find an auto rickshaw stand, which is usually located near the main market area. Ask the driver to take you to Pynthorumkhrah. The fare should be negotiated before the ride. Once you reach Pynthorumkhrah, ask the driver to drop you at the nearest point to Rangphlang. From there, you can either walk or take another auto rickshaw to cover the remaining distance to Rangphlang.
Public Transport (Bus)
From Police Bazar, head to the nearest bus stop which is located near the local market area. Look for buses that head towards Laitlum or Mawkynrew. Board the bus and inform the conductor that you want to get off at Pynthorumkhrah. After getting off, you can walk or hire an auto rickshaw to reach Rangphlang. The bus fare is very economical, and it’s a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
