Walking
Start from Police Bazar, which is a central location in Shillong. Head east on the main road (GS Road) towards the Shillong Golf Course. After approximately 1 kilometer, take a left onto the Laitkor Road. Continue walking straight for about 2.5 kilometers. You will pass through local markets and residential areas. Keep an eye out for the sign for Laitkor Peak on your right. The path will lead you uphill. Follow this path, which may be steep, for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Shillong View Point. The viewpoint is well-marked and offers a spectacular view of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Public Transport (Local Bus)
From Police Bazar, locate the local bus station. Take a bus heading towards Laitkor Peak; ensure to ask the driver if the bus goes to the Shillong View Point. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Get off at the Laitkor Peak stop. From there, it is a short walk (approximately 1 kilometer) up the hill to the viewpoint. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the Shillong View Point.
