Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Head north on the NH10 highway towards Mangan. After approximately 60 kilometers, you will reach the town of Mangan. From Mangan, continue for another 27 kilometers towards Kabi. Look for the sign for Bakcha Bridge on the left side of the road as you approach Kabi. The bridge is located off the main road, so be prepared to navigate a short distance on a smaller road. There are no tolls on this route, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition for the mountainous terrain.
Public Transportation
To reach Bakcha Bridge using public transportation, take a shared taxi or bus from Gangtok to Mangan. The journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Mangan, you can find shared taxis heading towards Kabi. Inform the driver that you want to get off near Bakcha Bridge. The ride from Mangan to Kabi will take around 30 minutes. The fare for the taxi from Gangtok to Mangan is approximately ₹200-₹250, and the fare from Mangan to Kabi is about ₹50-₹100. Be sure to check the local schedule for buses and shared taxis, as they may not run frequently.
