Car

If you're starting from Gangtok, drive towards Mangan via the NH10 highway. The distance is approximately 100 km and will take around 4 hours. From Mangan, take the road to Lachen. After reaching Lachen, continue to Yumthang, which is about 25 km away. Make sure to carry your permits as Zero Point is a restricted area.
Public Transportation (Bus)

From Gangtok, take a shared taxi or bus to Mangan. Once in Mangan, you can find shared taxis to Lachen. After reaching Lachen, you must hire a local taxi to Yumthang and then onto Zero Point. Total travel time can take 6-8 hours depending on the waiting time for taxis.
Local Taxi Hire

Once you reach Yumthang, hire a local taxi to take you the additional 20 km to Zero Point. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The taxi ride will take about 30-45 minutes depending on road conditions. Expect to pay around INR 2000-3000 for a round trip.
Permits

Don't forget to obtain your permits from the local authority before heading to Zero Point. You can apply for permits in Gangtok. The cost for the permit is generally around INR 200-300 per person. It's advisable to carry your identification and a few passport-sized photographs.
