Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Gangtok, head towards the East Sikkim district. Take the NH10 towards Rangpo and then follow the signs to Pakyong. Continue on the road until you reach the GJHV+3V8 area, where Naga Falls is located. The falls are about 24 km from Gangtok, and the drive takes approximately 1 hour. Make sure to keep your eyes open for local signs directing you to Naga Falls.

Public Transportation - Shared Taxi

From Gangtok, you can take a shared taxi from the taxi stand near MG Marg. Ask the driver to drop you at Naga Falls or the nearest point. The fare will vary, but expect to pay around ₹200-₹300 per person. The journey takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the falls.

Public Transportation - Bus

You can also take a local bus from the Gangtok bus station to Pakyong. Buses run regularly throughout the day, and the fare is quite affordable, usually around ₹50-₹70. After getting off at Pakyong, you can hire a local taxi or ask for directions to Naga Falls, which is approximately 5 km away. Taxis may charge around ₹100-₹150 for a short ride to the falls.
