Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. From Gangtok, take the NH10 highway towards Melli. After crossing Melli, take the left turn towards Pelling. Continue driving for about 30 km until you see signs for Bon Monastery, located near the village of Daramdin. The exact coordinates to enter into your GPS are 27.278643 latitude and 88.3343804 longitude. Please note that the roads are mountainous and can be narrow, so drive cautiously. There may be tolls along NH10, so keep some cash ready.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, take a shared taxi or a bus from Gangtok to Pelling. The journey takes approximately 4-5 hours. Once you reach Pelling, you can hire a local taxi to take you to Bon Monastery. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver beforehand. The taxi ride from Pelling to the monastery will take about 30 minutes. Expect to pay around INR 500-600 for the taxi ride.
