Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the South District of Sikkim. From Gangtok, take the NH10 route towards Singtam. Continue on NH10 until you reach Namchi, which is approximately 70 km from Gangtok. From Namchi, look for signs directing you to Temí Tea Garden. The garden is about 12 km from Namchi. Follow the road signs, and you will arrive at the tea garden, where there is a small entry fee of Rs 30 per person.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from any major town in Sikkim. From Gangtok, the fare to Temí Tea Garden should be around Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,000, one way. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting your journey. Taxis are also available from Namchi if you prefer to travel to Namchi by public transport first.
Public Bus
For budget travelers, you can take a public bus from Gangtok to Namchi. These buses depart regularly, and the fare is around Rs 100 per person. Once you reach Namchi, you can hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to take you the final 12 km to Temí Tea Garden. The total travel time using this method might take around 3 to 4 hours depending on the bus schedule.
Local Auto-Rickshaw
After reaching Namchi by bus, you can take an auto-rickshaw for the last leg of your journey to Temí Tea Garden. The fare for the auto-rickshaw is typically around Rs 200 to Rs 300. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes.
