Getting There

    If you're starting from Pokhara, drive towards Nayapul. The distance is approximately 42 km and will take around 1.5 hours. Upon reaching Nayapul, park your car at one of the designated parking areas. From Nayapul, you will begin your trek towards Ghorepani, which is the first major stop on the way to North Annapurna Base Camp.

  • Public Transportation

    From Pokhara, take a local bus or microbus to Nayapul. The journey will be about 1.5 hours and costs around NPR 200-300. After arriving at Nayapul, you will need to begin your hike towards Ghorepani, which is about 15 km away and usually takes 6-7 hours of trekking.

  • Trekking

    From Nayapul, follow the trail leading to Tikhedhunga. Continue trekking to Ulleri, where you will ascend a steep staircase of over 3000 steps. After Ulleri, you can continue to Ghorepani, which is a popular resting point. This part of the trek is approximately 8 km and can take around 4-5 hours. Spend the night in Ghorepani to enjoy the sunrise views over the Annapurna range.

    From Ghorepani, begin your trek to Poon Hill early in the morning for breathtaking views of the sunrise. Afterward, continue your journey to Tadapani, which is about 6-7 hours of trekking. The trail is scenic, passing through rhododendron forests and traditional villages.

    From Tadapani, trek towards Chhomrong, which is a key junction for reaching the North Annapurna Base Camp. This trek will take about 5-6 hours. Chhomrong has guesthouses for lodging where you can rest before the next leg of your journey.
