Walking
If you are at the Richmond Downtown area, start by heading east on East Broad Street towards North 9th Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with North 9th Street. Turn left onto North 9th Street and walk north until you reach East Marshall Street. Take a right onto East Marshall Street and walk until you reach North 4th Street. Turn left onto North 4th Street and continue until you see Floyd Avenue. Turn right onto Floyd Avenue, and Virginia Commonwealth University will be on your left at 907 Floyd Ave.
Public Transit
From the Richmond Downtown area, you can catch the GRTC bus at Broad Street. Look for the routes that head towards the VCU area, such as the 1 or 2 routes. Board the bus and inform the driver that you are heading to VCU. After a short ride, you will get off at the stop closest to the university, which will be near Floyd Avenue. From the bus stop, walk a few blocks south on Floyd Avenue, and you will arrive at Virginia Commonwealth University located at 907 Floyd Ave.
Biking
If you're comfortable with biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs available in Richmond. Start at the nearest bike station, and head east towards Broad Street. From there, follow the same route as the walking directions, biking through East Broad Street, then North 9th Street, East Marshall Street, North 4th Street, and finally turn onto Floyd Avenue. Maintain a safe speed, and remember to obey traffic signals and bike lanes as you approach Virginia Commonwealth University at 907 Floyd Ave.
