Walking
If you are at the Richmond Downtown area, start by heading east on East Broad Street towards North 9th Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with North 9th Street. Turn left onto North 9th Street and walk north until you reach East Marshall Street. Take a right onto East Marshall Street and walk until you reach North 4th Street. Turn left onto North 4th Street and continue until you see Floyd Avenue. Turn right onto Floyd Avenue, and Virginia Commonwealth University will be on your left at 907 Floyd Ave.

From the Richmond Downtown area, you can catch the GRTC bus at Broad Street. Look for the routes that head towards the VCU area, such as the 1 or 2 routes. Board the bus and inform the driver that you are heading to VCU. After a short ride, you will get off at the stop closest to the university, which will be near Floyd Avenue. From the bus stop, walk a few blocks south on Floyd Avenue, and you will arrive at Virginia Commonwealth University located at 907 Floyd Ave.
