From the center of Richmond, head southeast on Broad Street towards 9th Street. Continue on Broad Street for about six blocks until you reach 9th Street. Turn left (north) onto 9th Street and walk for about two blocks until you reach Bank Street. Turn right onto Bank Street, and the Virginia State Capitol will be on your left at 1000 Bank St. The total walking distance is approximately 0.5 miles and should take around 10-15 minutes.

Public Transport
If you're near the Main Street Station, you can take the GRTC Pulse bus service. Board the Pulse bus heading towards Rocketts Landing. Ride for 3 stops and get off at the 8th & Broad stop. From there, walk south on 8th Street for two blocks, then turn left onto Bank Street. The Virginia State Capitol will be on your left at 1000 Bank St. The total travel time, including waiting for the bus, is about 20-30 minutes.
