If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-70 E from your location in West Central Indiana. Depending on your starting point, you may have to take local roads to reach I-70. Continue on I-70 E for about 60 miles until you reach the exit for I-465 N (exit 83A). Merge onto I-465 N and continue for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 19A to merge onto I-65 S towards Louisville. After about 3 miles, take exit 113 toward W 30th St. Merge onto W 30th St and then turn left onto N Harding St. Continue on N Harding St for about 2 miles, then turn right onto W 16th St. Finally, turn left onto Kirkbride Way, and the Indiana Medical History Museum will be on your right at 3270 Kirkbride Way, Indianapolis, IN 46222. Parking is available on-site.

For those opting for public transportation, first, you will need to reach the nearest bus station servicing Indianapolis. Depending on your location in West Central Indiana, this may require a local bus or taxi ride to the station. Once at the station, take a Greyhound bus or a local transit service that heads to Indianapolis. After arriving in Indianapolis, you can take the IndyGo bus service. Board Route 8 (Washington St), which will take you towards the museum area. You need to get off at the 30th St & Harding St stop. From there, it’s a short walk: head south on Harding St until you reach W 16th St, then turn right. Finally, turn left onto Kirkbride Way, and the Indiana Medical History Museum will be on your right. Be sure to check the bus schedule for any potential fares and service times.
