From anywhere in West Central Indiana, access Interstate 74 (I-74) heading southeast towards Cincinnati. Continue on I-74 until you reach the exit for I-75 South toward Dayton. Merge onto I-75 South and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 1B toward 5th Street/Cincinnati Riverfront. Follow the signs toward downtown Cincinnati. Once you exit, follow 5th St and turn right onto E 4th St. The Historic Site of Fort Washington will be on your left at 421 E 4th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202. There is typically street parking available, but be aware of any parking fees that may apply.

If using public transportation, start by finding your closest bus station in West Central Indiana. Use the local transit authority to take a bus toward Indianapolis. From Indianapolis, you can board a Greyhound bus or similar service heading to Cincinnati, which will drop you at a central bus station in Cincinnati. From there, you can use local public transport (such as Metro bus services) to reach downtown Cincinnati. Take the Metro Bus number 19 toward 5th Street and get off at E 4th St. The Historic Site of Fort Washington is a short walk from there. Make sure to check the bus schedules and purchase tickets in advance, as there may be costs associated with both the local bus and the Greyhound service.
