Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Surabaya, the capital of East Java. Take Jalan Sumojoroto and continue onto Jalan Gubeng Kertajaya. Follow the signs for the Surabaya - Mojokerto Toll Road (Toll Road 1) and drive until you reach the exit for Mojokerto. From there, take the route towards Nganjuk via Jalan Raya Mojokerto-Nganjuk. Once you reach Nganjuk, follow the signs towards Bajulan. Continue on Unnamed Road for approximately 10 km, and you will find Roro Kuning Waterfall (6R9V+XG8) on your right. Make sure to have a GPS or a map handy, as the final stretch may have limited signage.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, head to the Bemo terminal in Surabaya. Take a Bemo heading to Nganjuk, which typically costs around IDR 30,000 to IDR 50,000 per person. Once in Nganjuk, you can take a local minibus or a motorcycle taxi (ojek) towards Bajulan for about IDR 20,000. Inform the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Roro Kuning Waterfall. From there, you may have to walk approximately 1 km through the rural area to reach the waterfall. Be prepared for a short hike, as the path can be uneven and muddy.
Motorcycle Rental
If you prefer more flexibility, consider renting a motorcycle in Nganjuk. Rentals usually cost around IDR 75,000 to IDR 100,000 per day. After reaching Nganjuk, follow the same route to Bajulan as described above. The motorcycle will allow you to navigate the smaller roads and reach the waterfall more easily. Just be cautious of road conditions and ensure you have a helmet.
