Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Parapat, head south towards Samosir Island. After crossing the ferry to Samosir, continue on the main road (Jalan Lintas Samosir) until you reach the intersection at Tomok. Turn right at Tomok and follow the signs towards Harian. Continue straight for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the area of Turpuk Sihotang where Patung Yesus is located. Look for the sign directing you to Patung Yesus, which will be on your left side.

    From Parapat, take a local minibus (angkot) to Samosir Island. Ask the driver to drop you off at Tomok. From Tomok, you can either hire a motorbike taxi (ojek) or a local taxi to take you to Patung Yesus in Turpuk Sihotang. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around IDR 50,000 to IDR 75,000 depending on your bargaining skills and the distance. The ride will take about 30 minutes.
