From the center of Rantepao, head south on Jalan Poros Rantepao-Makale for about 7 kilometers. After passing through several villages, keep an eye out for the sign pointing towards Makale. Continue driving for another 5 kilometers until you see a turn-off to the right leading to the area of Lea. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Tongkonan Lea, which will be on your left. Parking is typically available near the site.

From Rantepao, take a 'mikrolet' (local minibus) heading to Makale. These minibuses leave frequently from the main bus terminal in Rantepao. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Lea. The fare is usually around IDR 20,000. The journey should take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Lea, you can either walk approximately 1 kilometer to Tongkonan Lea or hire a local ojek (motorcycle taxi) for around IDR 10,000 to 15,000 to take you directly to the site.
