Car Rental

From Ubud, head southeast on Jalan Raya Ubud towards Jalan Monkey Forest. Continue on Jalan Monkey Forest until you reach the junction with Jalan Raya Andong. Turn left onto Jalan Raya Andong and follow this road for approximately 6 kilometers. Merge onto Jalan Raya Goa Gajah and continue for another 5 kilometers. Turn right onto Jalan Raya Klungkung, which leads you towards Padangbai. After about 10 kilometers, keep following the signs for Padangbai. Once you reach Padangbai, look for the signs pointing to Black Sand Beach (FG54+FQP). The beach will be accessible via an unnamed road leading directly to the coastline. Parking may be available nearby, but be prepared to pay a small fee, typically around IDR 5,000-10,000.
Public Transportation (Bus)

From Ubud, head to the Ubud Bus Station, which is located on Jalan Raya Ubud. Catch a Bemo (local minibus) heading towards Padangbai. The fare is usually around IDR 20,000-30,000 and the journey takes approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Padangbai Bus Station, exit and walk towards the beach area. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Black Sand Beach, which is roughly a 15-minute walk from the station. Be sure to check the bus schedule for return trips to Ubud.
Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

Open your preferred ride-hailing app (such as Grab or Gojek) and set your destination to Black Sand Beach in Padangbai. The distance from Ubud is about 18 kilometers, and the ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around IDR 150,000-250,000 for the trip.
