From anywhere in Ankeny, head to the nearest DART bus stop. Take the DART route 7 towards the East. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Once you reach the Ames area, disembark at the stop near the intersection of 5th St and Douglas Ave. From there, walk east on 5th St for about two blocks until you reach 125 E 5th St, where the Durham Bandshell is located.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Ankeny. Head southeast on the bike path towards the city of Ames. Follow the bike lanes on 1st Ave, which will lead you into Ames. Once you reach 5th St, turn left and bike for about a mile until you reach 125 E 5th St, where the Durham Bandshell is located. Make sure to use bike lanes where available for safety.
