If you're driving from the Historic Hills Scenic Byway, make your way to Highway 1. Head north on Highway 1 until you reach the intersection with Highway 30. Take a left onto Highway 30 West and continue for about 6 miles. Then, take the exit for Highway 1 South towards Mt. Vernon. Follow Highway 1 for approximately 3 miles, and you will see signs for Palisades-Kepler State Park. Turn left onto Kepler Drive and follow it until you reach the park entrance at 700 Kepler Dr, Mt Vernon, IA 52314. Note that parking may incur a fee, so be prepared with cash or a payment card.
