Walking
If you are already in Al-Kadhimiya, the shrine is likely within walking distance. Head towards the main road, Al-Kadhimiya Street. Walk north along this road for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see the beautiful domes of the Imam al-Kazim & Imam al-Jawad Shrine ahead. Follow the signs leading to the shrine which will guide you through the main pedestrian paths. Be sure to stay aware of your surroundings.

Public Transport
From other parts of Baghdad, you can take a local bus to Al-Kadhimiya. Look for bus stops along main roads and take a bus heading towards Kadhimiya Shrine. The fare is generally around 500 IQD (Iraqi Dinar). Inform the bus conductor that you are heading to Al Kadhimain, and they will drop you off at a stop close to the shrine.

Taxis are a common way to reach Al-Kadhimiya. They can be hailed from anywhere in the city. A taxi ride from Baghdad International Airport to the shrine costs approximately €45 (IQD 63,591) and takes about 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Within Baghdad, a 5km ride costs about 12.1 USD. Always agree on the final price with the driver before you depart.
