Car
If you're driving, Knappogue Castle is located just off the N18 road. Start from Ennis town center and head northeast on the N85 towards the N18. After about 5 km, take the exit for Quin. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Quin Rd (R469). Continue on Quin Rd for approximately 2 km, and you will see signs for Knappogue Castle on your left. There is parking available at the castle.
Public Transportation
To reach Knappogue Castle using public transport, start by taking a bus from Ennis to Quin. Check local schedules as service may vary. Once in Quin, you can take a local taxi or walk approximately 3 km along the R469 road to reach Knappogue Castle. If you choose to walk, ensure you have a map or GPS since the route is not directly serviced by public transport.
Taxi
For a convenient option, you can also take a taxi from Ennis directly to Knappogue Castle. Taxis are available at the Ennis bus and train stations. The journey will take about 15 minutes and will cost approximately €15-€20, depending on traffic.
