If you are driving, start by getting onto the N4 road. From Sligo, take the N4 southeast towards Carrick-on-Shannon. Once you reach Carrick-on-Shannon, follow the signs to Drumshanbo via the R280 road. Continue on the R280 until you reach Drumshanbo. In Drumshanbo, follow the signs to Acres Lake, where the Sliabh an Iarainn visitor centre is located. The visitor centre is situated on the shores of Acres Lake. Parking is generally available at the centre.
