Car
From Wicklow Town, head west on the R750 road towards Shillelagh. Continue on this road for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the village of Shillelagh. Once in Shillelagh, turn left onto the R733 and drive for about 8 kilometers. Look for signs directing you towards Aghowle Church. You will need to take a right turn onto an unnamed road, then continue down the country lane for about 400 meters until you reach the church. Parking is available along the side of the road.
Public Transportation
From Dublin, take a train to Wicklow Town. You can catch the train from Dublin Pearse Station or Dublin Connolly Station to Wicklow. Upon arrival in Wicklow Town, you will need to take a taxi to Aghowle Church, as public transportation options to the church are limited. The taxi ride will take around 25 minutes and will cost approximately €30, depending on traffic.
Combination of Public Transport and Walking
Take a bus from Dublin to Shillelagh (Bus Eireann or Local Link services may be available). Once you arrive in Shillelagh, you will need to walk approximately 8 kilometers to reach Aghowle Church. Follow the R733 road westward, then turn right onto the unnamed road where the church is located. It's advisable to use a GPS or map for this segment, as it is mostly a rural area with limited signage.
