Getting There

Walking
From the center of Ennis, head north on O'Connell Street towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the N85 road, heading towards Limerick. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the bus stop. Take Bus 51 (towards Galway) from the Ennis bus stop. The journey to Galway will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Galway, exit the bus at the Eyre Square stop. From Eyre Square, walk towards Shop Street and continue straight until you reach the Quay Street. Follow Quay Street until you reach the Salthill Promenade. The Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point is located at Salthill Park, a short walk from the promenade.

Take the Bus 51 from Ennis to Galway. You can board the bus at the Ennis Bus Station. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Galway, disembark at the Eyre Square bus stop. From there, walk towards the West on Shop Street, continuing until you reach Quay Street. Keep walking straight until you reach the shoreline, where you can find Salthill Promenade. The Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point is located at Salthill Park, which is a short distance from the promenade.

Although there is no direct train from Ennis to Galway, you can take a train to Limerick Junction and then transfer to a train to Galway. To do this, head to the Ennis Train Station and board a train to Limerick Junction. Upon arrival, transfer to a train heading to Galway. Once you arrive in Galway, exit the station and follow the same walking directions to Salthill as provided above.
