If you are already in Glendalough and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic walking route to Ramsfort Woods. Begin at the Glendalough Visitor Centre and head towards the Upper Lake. From there, follow the trail along the river, which will eventually lead you towards the main road. Once you reach the main road, turn towards Ballowen or Ramsfortpark. The total walking distance from the Visitor Centre to Ramsfort Woods is approximately 5 kilometers, which will take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
