If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Glendalough and follow the R756 road towards Laragh. Continue on the R756 until you reach the intersection with the R759. Turn left onto the R759 and continue for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the Forest walk area. You'll find a designated parking area nearby where you can leave your vehicle. Please note that parking may incur a small fee.

To reach the Forest walk using public transportation, take the Dublin Bus Route 183 from Dublin to Glendalough. Once you arrive at the Glendalough bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to the Forest walk. Head west on the R756 road, then turn left onto the R759. Follow the road until you see signs for the Forest walk. Expect a walking time of around 20-30 minutes from the bus stop to the destination.

Walking from Glendalough
If you are already in Glendalough and prefer to walk, start at the Glendalough Visitor Centre. Walk along the path that leads towards the Upper Lake. Once you reach the Upper Lake, continue on the marked trails for about 1.5 kilometers until you see signs for the Forest walk. This path offers scenic views of the lakes and surrounding mountains, making it a pleasant journey.
